Starting January 2025, Canada will limit family Open Work Permits to spouses of students in specific advanced programs and certain foreign workers, aiming to reduce temporary residents and address housing concerns. Dependent children will no longer qualify, and stricter Post-Graduation Work Permit criteria will also take effect.
